Tour Itinerary

Welcome to the vibrant city of Chennai, the gateway to the South India. Upon arrival at Chennai airport, meet and greet by our representative followed by the transfer to the hotel. Evening explore the T Nagar Market area.

Overnight stay in Chennai.


 After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of Chennai. Beginning with the first English fortress of India – Fort St. George Museum. Then head towards the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, an ancient 7th century Dravidian Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Sri Parthasarathyswamy Temple, one of the 108 Divya Desams (holy temples). Then drive towards Tirupati, one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India.

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Tirupati. 


Early breakfast at hotel and then proceed to visit sacred hill shrine of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple also known as Tirupati Balaji Temple for darshan and temple rituals. Afterwards, visit Kapila Theertham, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva famous for its natural waterfall that cascades over 100ft. from the hills into the temple holy pond. Also visit Sri Padmavati Ammavaari Temple.

Later, drive back to Chennai. On arrival, witness the sunset at Marina Beach. Overnight stay in Chennai. 


After breakfast proceed to the UNESCO heritage town of Mahabalipuram. Enroute stop at the temple city of Kanchipuram. Visit renowned shrines like Ekambaranathar Temple, Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Temple & Sri Varadharaja Perumal Temple. 

Later, continue to the Mahabalipuram. On arrival, visit the magnificent rock-cut monuments & shore side architecture including Shore Temple, Krishna’s Butter Ball, Group of Monuments – Panch Rathas, Caves Temple, etc. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.


After breakfast enjoy driving along the scenic East coast road to Pondicherry. On arrival, check in at the hotel and proceed for the sightseeing, beginning with Sri Aurobindo Ashram & Auroville – known as “City Of Dawn”, an experimental township dedicated to human unity. Later, have a leisure walk at French Quarter. Evening relax at scenic Promenade Beach. Overnight stay in Pondicherry. 


After breakfast drive towards Kumbakonam – one of the South India’s most important temple towns. Enroute visit sacred town of Chidambaram renowned for the magnificent Thillai Natraja Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in his cosmic dancing form. Continue drive to Kumbakonam. On arrival, proceed to visit Sri Oppiliappan Temple.

Overnight stay in Kumbakonam.


 


After breakfast explore some of the region’s celebrated temples including Adi Kumbeswarar Temple and Airavatesvara Temple – UNESCO world heritage site & the part of the great living Chola Temples. Then drive towards Tanjore (Thanjavur) the cultural capital of the Chola dynasty. 

Visit UNESCO listed Brihadeeswara Temple, one of the greatest temples of India built by Raja Raja Chola I. Also visit Tanjore Maratha Palace. Afterwards, head towards Trichy. On arrival, check in at the hotel.

Overnight stay in Trichy. 

 


After breakfast at hotel proceed for the sightseeing of Trichy (Tiruchirappalli). Visit Sri Ranganath Swamy Temple – world’s largest functioning Hindu temple. Enjoy the panoramic views of city from the Rock Fort Temple. Then visit the Jambukeshwara Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. 

Afterwards, head towards Madurai, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in India. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Evening at leisure.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed for the full day city tour beginning with the iconic Meenakshi Aman Temple known for its towering colourful gopurams and intricate carvings. Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace – an elegant 17th century palace complex famous for its 248 white giant pillars. Also visit Gandhi Memorial Museum. Later, enjoy a tuk-tuk ride for night ceremony at Meenakshi Amman Temple.

Overnight stay in Madurai.

 


After breakfast, drive to the sacred island town of Rameswaram, one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations in India. Enroute enjoy scenic countryside and coastal landscapes. Visit Pamban Bridge – India’s iconic sea bridge connecting the island to mainland Tamil Nadu. Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple - one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and also renowned for its magnificent pillared corridors & sacred temple tanks. Also visit Agni Theertham. Later, head towards the “last land of India” Dhanushkodi. Evening at leisure near the seafront.

Overnight stay in Rameswaram.      

 


After breakfast drive towards Kanyakumari, via the coastal pilgrimage town of Tiruchendur. Enroute visit Thiruchendur Murugan Temple also known as Subramanya Swamy Temple. Continue drive  through the scenic coastal landscapes and traditional South Indian towns to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of mainland India, where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean met. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Evening enjoy the spectacular sunset over the ocean.

Overnight stay in Kanyakumari.


After breakfast proceed for the sightseeing of Kanyakumari beginning with Kumari Amman Temple, a historic temple dedicated to Goddess Kanyakumari. Triveni Sangam – meeting point of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal & the India Ocean. 

Then enjoy a round-trip ferry to Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the place where Swami Vivekananda meditated. Also visit nearby 133 ft. Thiruvalluvar Statue. Afterwards, drive to Kovalam. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Evening witness the sunset at Kovalam Beach. Overnight stay in Kovalam.


After breakfast get ready for the city tour of Kovalam beginning with the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple – the world’s richest temple. Continue visiting Napier Museum, an architectural landmark showcasing an impressive collection of bronze idols, ancient ornaments and historical artifacts.

Also visit nearby Sri Chitra Art Gallery. Then transfer to Trivandrum international airport to board your flight for onward destination.
